Because our eyes are not ready for night blue light ?

Why are our eyes not ready for the blue light at night?
Imagine a lion and in particular its stomach…

For thousands of years it has evolved to digest large quantities of raw meat and bones…
Now, imagine if that lion was suddenly forced to eat a vegan diet for half of his day.
Instead of raw meat, this stomach has to process vegan foods, with lots of fruits and vegetables.
These foods are completely alien to everything the lion's stomach evolved for.
Stomach acids are too strong for these delicate foods, the muscle walls are oversized for the volume of food, and the microbiome is ill-equipped to break down plant fibers and complex carbohydrates.
Our brain, strange as it may seem, is in the same situation when it comes to blue light.

Our brains evolved to respond to the natural rhythms dictated by sunlight and have never seen light after sunset, except for the warm light emitted by light sources such as fire and candles.

With melatonin production regulated by the alternation of light and dark according to the solar cycle, our brains now find themselves “transplanted” into a world of constant artificial lighting after sunset.
Just as a lion’s stomach couldn’t handle a vegan diet, our brains struggle to maintain healthy circadian rhythms in the presence of constant, unnatural light stimulation.
Our eyes, shaped by millions of years of evolution, are now bathed in a sea of artificial blue light.

It's like we're using stone age equipment in a digital world…
But why?
The story begins with the sun.
Throughout our evolutionary history, the sun was the only source of blue light.
After sunset, this light disappeared, signaling our bodies that it was time to prepare for rest.

Our brain then began to produce melatonin, the sleep hormone.
This made us fall asleep within minutes of going to bed and gave us a deep, restful sleep.
This rhythm, synchronized with the natural cycle of day and night, has governed our biological clock for tens of thousands of years.
Then, suddenly, everything changed.
After the discovery of electricity, artificial light entered our daily routine on a massive scale.
Above all, LED technology, used not only for artificial lighting but also for TV screens, smartphones and electronic devices, has invaded our lives.

What is the problem caused by this blue light?
Our eyes and brains are not used to the presence of blue light after sunset.
They then continue to react to blue light as if it were broad daylight, suppressing the production of melatonin and keeping us awake and alert.

It's as if we're constantly tricking our bodies into thinking it's always noon.
And unfortunately, this leads to dangerous consequences…
This misalignment leads to:
- Sleep disturbances: Difficulty falling asleep and less restful sleep caused by low levels of melatonin produced by our body;
- Eye Strain: Our eyes are not designed to stare at blue light sources for hours, especially after sunset. This often causes short-term or long-term vision problems, as well as causing tired eyes or headaches.
- Disruption of circadian rhythms: With cascading effects on metabolism, mood and overall health.
Some say that nature always finds a way…
This is absolutely true, but evolution is a slow process that took millions of years.

It took us hundreds of thousands of years to perfect just a few features of our bodies.
It therefore takes thousands and thousands of generations for our eyes to naturally adapt to this new light environment even in the evening.
All the transitional generations are “forced” to pay in the meantime all the negative aspects of this abrupt change.
So what could be the solution?
The solution that we fortunately have to resolve this change immediately and avoid the problems that blue light causes in the evening, is to adapt the technology to us, not vice versa.
That's why we developed No Blue Light Glasses, our special chronobiological blue light blocking glasses.
Their lenses act as an “evolutionary filter.”

They reflect blue light, preventing it from reaching our eyes.
This protects our eyes from modern, unnatural blue light, allowing us to use technology without compromising our well-being.
The production of melatonin will therefore not be stopped, and we will be able to sleep a deep and regenerating sleep, as well as falling asleep in a few moments.
Our eyes evolved with the same light for millions of years, until a few decades ago when all our light habits were completely destroyed.
Recognizing this evolutionary gap is the first step to protecting our health in the digital age.
The next time you use your smartphone before bed, remember: you are asking your eyes to do something they were not designed to do, and in the short or long term this will unfortunately cause you more or less serious problems.

With the right precautions, we can bridge the gap between our biology and our technology, ensuring restful nights and productive days.
After all, the goal is not to return to the Stone Age, but rather to be able to exploit and enjoy modern technology without compromising our health.
With “No Blue Light Glasses” you can enjoy today’s technology without disrupting your sleep or compromising your vitality.

Sleep is essential to our health and well-being.
Don't let this change ruin your health and your life.
