In nature there is the blue light ?
Share
One of the first things I asked myself when I heard about blue light glasses was... "But is blue light present in nature?"
After hearing about how harmful this light was, I wondered whether or not it existed in nature.
After a little research I discovered something that fascinated me.
Blue light occurs naturally, and is emitted by the sun.
What fascinated me was discovering that the spectrum of sunlight changes throughout the day.
Let's see how.
Below you can see how the spectrum of sunlight changes between lunchtime, late afternoon, and evening.

At lunchtime the sun emits a spectrum of light rich in blue light.
In nature, this serves to communicate to our body that it is daytime and therefore to keep us awake and active.
As the evening approaches, the blue light emitted by the sun decreases, until it disappears late in the evening.
This has always been a signal to our brain in nature that it was almost time to sleep.
The absence of blue light and the presence of warm-toned light, in fact, tells our brain to produce melatonin, the sleep hormone.
So what happens if we are exposed to blue light in the evening?
Since the discovery of electricity and the introduction of electronic devices such as PCs and smartphones, humans are now exposed to large amounts of blue light in the evening.
Nowadays, most humans are exposed to dangerous amounts of blue light.
Smartphones, TVs, tablets and LED lighting emit dangerous amounts of this light.
For this reason, many people suffer from burning eyes and sleep problems.
In the evening we have always been exposed exclusively to the light of the sunset or to natural light from combustion such as fire.
This contained blue light and was not harmful to our eyes or our sleep.
For this reason, it is necessary to avoid being exposed to blue light after sunset.
Failure to do so can lead to eye problems, difficulty falling asleep, and light, unrefreshing sleep.
There are only two ways to protect ourselves from blue light in the evening:
1- live as we always did until a little over a century ago. This means using only combustion light sources such as fire, or going to sleep as soon as it gets dark.
2- protect ourselves from blue light by wearing chronobiological glasses. These special glasses allow us to filter blue light in the evening, so that our eyes do not perceive it.
The light filtered through these glasses simulates the light present in nature in the evening, protecting our eyes and allowing our body to produce melatonin normally.
Our No Blue Light Glasses are chronobiological glasses developed with this intent.
Wearing them 2-3 hours before going to sleep allows us to fall asleep in a few moments and have a deep and regenerating sleep, making us wake up full of energy.
